Rudge Farm Festival – A Community Celebration
A Party with Purpose
At Rudge Farm, we love nothing more than a good party—and when it’s in aid of something special, it feels even better. This summer, we had the absolute joy of hosting our local school’s end-of-year leavers’ party. What started as a simple send-off quickly turned into a full-blown festival, complete with all the trimmings.
Turning a Field into a Festival
One of our livestock fields was transformed into a mini Glastonbury, equipped with:
- Portaloos
- Festival-style tents
- Street food truck
- DJs
- A giant slip and slide
- Tug-of-war
- Endless children’s games
It was the perfect way to bring families and friends together outdoors, soaking up those last golden days of summer.
Food, Music & Magic
The food was nothing short of amazing—served up by The Roaming Fox, from the wonderful Fox family. Our beautiful Chinese-inspired marquees came courtesy of Tattle Farm Tents, and music filled the air thanks to the fantastic Thunderwing DJs, who kept spirits high all day long.
Glitter, Glam & Great Spirits
Of course, no festival is complete without glitter and glam. You’ll spot in the photos that we grown-ups weren’t shy of joining in—festival face gems, temporary tattoos, funky hats, and flamboyant outfits were the order of the day. Even when the rain arrived later in the evening, it did nothing to dampen the mood. Instead, pyjamas came out early, and the children settled into a magical camp-out under the canvas, creating memories that will stay with them for years to come.
The Perfect Summer Send-Off
What a wonderful end to the school year—and to the summer itself. We’re so proud Rudge Farm could provide the space for such a heartwarming celebration of community spirit. We hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed the day itself.
