About Rudge Farm Cottages
At Rudge Farm Cottages we have one, two and three bedroom self catering cottages – all our cottages are well equipped providing you with everything you will need for your holiday in Dorset. We also have plenty of facilities around the farm from a games barn, tennis court to boating lake. Click on the cottage images below to find further details about each holiday cottage. Unfortunately we do not accept pets. Limited availability for early check in/late check out that can be added as an extra when booking. Guest car parking is located behind the main barn. We have a small set of steps or a longer level pathed access to the cottage from the car park. If you wish to unload your luggage a little closer you can unload next to the laundry or the bay area on Chilcombe Lane next to the main farm house. We just politely ask that the driveway isn’t obstructed as it is used for staff access.
Please note we do not hold any weddings or events unless all of our cottages are hired for a single booking. It is exclusive hire only.
Group Bookings – We welcome group bookings here at Rudge Farm. We offer a 5% discount if all 10 cottages are booked at one time. If you are getting married near by and want to house you immediate wedding party for the weekend we are the perfect location. Our cottages sleep 39 guests and we have hosted many 60th birthday weekend celebrations or large family get togethers.
Accessibility at Rudge Farm is incredibly important to us, and we’ve worked hard to ensure that everyone can enjoy the full experience of the farm, no matter their needs. Shepherd’s Cottage, our wheelchair-friendly and accessible cottage, is located to the right-hand side of the horseshoe of cottages and offers level access either from the newly tarmacked drop-off area outside the laundrette or from the main car park. A gentle ramp leads into the cottage itself, which features an accessibility-friendly bathroom for added ease and comfort. New for 2025, we’ve expanded our inclusivity across the wider farm: from the same tarmacked area, a new gravel-gridded stone pathway leads all the way to the goat feeding area and onwards into the peaceful woodland sanctuary. We’ve also re-leveled the entire boundary of the lake, creating a continuous, dip-free loop accessible from the meadow—perfect for wheelchairs, mobility aids, or prams. We never wanted anyone to feel they couldn’t explore the woodland or wander the lakeside path, so now, everyone can soak in the beauty of nature here at Rudge Farm.
