Before your arrival at your holiday cottage
- The nearest bus stop to Rudge Farm Cottages is 1.5 miles in Swyre village on the B3157
- The main line stations are Crewkerne which is 13 miles away or Dorchester which is 12 miles away.
- Local taxis operate in Bridport, Dorchester and Crewkerne
- Puncknowle village is 1 mile away and has one pub but no shops. Burton Bradstock is 2.5 miles distance and has a Spa shop with in the garage, two pubs and a small post office.
- A shopping order from several major supermarkets can be delivered on the day of arrival by prior arrangement.

Arrival and car parking facilities at Rudge Farm Cottages
- There is a large car park with gravelled surface situated behind the main barn approached via the visitor’s entrance and driveway with two speed bumps
- All the holiday cottages are sign posted to the archway on tarmac to drop off point 20 metres from car park
- Drop off can be done nearer to Milkmaids, Pigsty, Orchard, Hayloft and Stable cottages via the front entrance to the main house. For Keepers, Shepherds, Carters, Thatchers and Gardeners cottages there is a closer drop off next to play area at end of visitors entrance driveway
- Cars must be returned to the main car park after unloading
- The parking area, pathways and outside lights on the holiday cottages are lit after dark
- Keys to the cottages will be in the door
- The manager lives on site at the main farmhouse and will normally be there on your arrival and to answer any questions you may have. If no one is around please make yourselves comfortable in your holiday cottage. There is a guest information book in each cottage.
Pigsty cottage (sleeps 2 + cot)
- Your self catering cottage is approached via paved pathway 30 metres from drop off point
- Outside 6 wooden steps 83 cm wide 16 cm x 24 cm to wooden balcony. The balcony is 4.20 metres x 2.00 metres with metal fence 1.12 metres high and gate with safety latch.
- On the balcony is a folding wooden table 70 cm x 70 cm and three folding wooden chairs. There is also an outside light.
- Entrance door (hinged on Right) 81 cm wide with 9 cm threshold leading to the Lounge/Dining area
Lounge/dining area:
- The floor is short pile carpet with rug. Pendant light in the middle of the ceiling
- In the lounge area are two arm chairs, a coffee table (50 cm x 55 cm x 40 cm high) with table lamp. There is a living flame electric fire, TV (freesat) with integral DVD player on a small table.
- Square oak table (80 cm x 80cm x 74cm) which can be extended (to 113 cm) with 2 oak dining chairs.
- Free space of the lounge/dining area is approximately 2.70 metres x 3.10 metres
- The cottage has two windows, one facing east and the other south.
Kitchen area:
- Kitchen work top height is 91 cm with sink and cupboards under and above the work top surface. There is a pendant light above the kitchen area and vinyl flooring in the kitchen area of 2.10 metres x 0.9 metres.
- The kitchen has an electric cooker 90 cm high with a drop down grill door and side opening main oven (hinged on left). There is an extractor hood and light above the cooker.
- Also in the kitchen is a fridge with 2* freezer compartment.
- Other small appliances include a microwave, kettle and toaster.
- Heating controls for the cottage are within the kitchen area and are 1.80 metres high.
- A corridor leads to the bedroom with dimensions 2.70 metres x 0.7 metres wide.
Bedroom:
- The door to bedroom is 73 cm wide opening inward.(hinged on right).
- Within the bedroom is a double bed 45 cm high with non-feather duvet and pillows.
- There are two bedside tables either side of the bed (43 cm x 44 cm x 63 cm high) with table lamps. There is a central pendant light in the bedroom.
- The wardrobe is 87 cm x 53 cm and there is also a small vanity table (57 cm x 38 cm x 72 cm high) with folding stool.
- There is also a wooden chair with no arms.
- The space either side of the bed is 80 cm and 65 cm respectively.
- There is one window in the bedroom facing east.
- A door 66 cm wide (hinged on left) opening in to en-suite shower room

- There is a light switch in the bedroom for the shower room 1.10 metres high.
