FRANCHEZKA & OLLIE

A Wedding Wonderfully Their Own at Rudge Farm

Some weddings are simply a wonderful reflection of the people at the heart of them, and Franchezka and Ollie’s celebration was exactly that.
Choosing Sunday 25th May 2025, a date already special to them as an anniversary, they made the most of the May bank holiday weekend to celebrate with their closest family and friends at Rudge Farm.
Big animal lovers with a fabulous group of friends and a shared love of Mario Kart, Fran and Ollie created a wedding that was personal, playful and completely unapologetically them.

A Bank Holiday Weekend Full of Personal Touches

Fran had put so much thought into making the weekend special for everyone staying at Rudge Farm.
Each cottage received its own handmade information booklet, complete with a weekend itinerary and ideas for activities around the farm. It was such a lovely way to welcome their guests and encourage everyone to make the most of their stay.
With 50–75 guests, their wedding had a wonderfully intimate feel, bringing together the people who knew them best for a relaxed bank holiday celebration.

A Romantic Ceremony & Beautiful Marquee Styling

Their wedding ceremony was held on Sunday, surrounded by fresh white and green floristry styled by Holly at Effortless Elegance.
The celebrations continued in a beautiful clear-span marquee supplied by Taddle Farm Tents, with soft, natural styling and delicate floral touches creating a fresh and romantic setting.
Fran’s own DIY details added personality throughout, including thoughtful advice cards where guests could share favourite memories, marriage advice and words of wisdom for the newlyweds to read afterwards.

Mario Kart, Karaoke & Memories to Keep

One of our favourite things about Fran and Ollie’s wedding was how much of their personalities they brought into the celebrations.
A large screen inside the marquee became the setting for some brilliant Mario Kart competitions, with bride-versus-groom races and plenty of friendly rivalry amongst their guests. As a game they had loved since first meeting, it was a particularly lovely detail to include.
There was also karaoke, lots of dancing and a fantastic flower wall backdrop where guests could take Polaroid photographs to add to a keepsake book.
Instead of relying on a traditional guestbook, they introduced two wonderfully creative ways to capture memories. A telephone-style audio guestbook allowed friends and family to leave recorded messages, while tiny handheld video cameras were passed around throughout the celebrations.
Guests could film their own little moments, messages and behind-the-scenes memories, creating something rather like a video guestbook, captured through the eyes of the people who shared their day.
It was fun, heartfelt and wonderfully different.

Barbecue Feasting & Sweet Treats

The wedding breakfast embraced a relaxed, traditional English outdoor barbecue, with delicious food provided by Mobile Barbecue and Catering.

Later in the evening, guests were treated to a fabulous chocolate fondue fountain alongside beautiful cupcakes, adding another fun element to the celebrations.

With DJ Mark Anthony providing the evening entertainment, the marquee was filled with dancing, laughter and a brilliant atmosphere amongst their family and friends.

Above all, Fran and Ollie created a day that celebrated everything they loved, without feeling the need to follow every wedding tradition.

And that is exactly what made it so special.
