KIRSTY & DANIEL
Wildflower Romance & a Wonderful Wedding Weekend at Rudge Farm
Saturday 27th June 2026 | Rudge Farm Weddings, Dorset
Some weddings just have the loveliest atmosphere from beginning to end, and Kirsty and Daniel’s June celebration was certainly one of them.
Beautifully considered in every detail, their wedding brought together soft summer colours, romantic wildflowers, live music and a wonderful group of family and friends who made the most of their weekend at Rudge Farm.
From a relaxed morning of preparations and a little five-a-side football to lakeside celebrations, dancing and a rather unexpected animal rescue, it was a weekend full of happy memories.
A Relaxed Morning & Beautiful Bridal Preparations
The morning began in Hayloft Cottage, where Kirsty and her bridesmaids enjoyed a wonderfully relaxed start to the day with their hair and make-up team.
Kirsty’s beautiful bridal gown featured delicate floral appliqués and a softly coloured corset detail, perfectly complementing the pale pink dresses worn by her bridesmaids.
Meanwhile, Daniel and the boys took a slightly different approach to their wedding morning, heading down to the Rudge Farm football pitch for a game of five-a-side before getting ready for the ceremony.
Two very different preparations, but both setting the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable day.

A Woodland Ceremony Surrounded by Wildflowers
Their 1 pm ceremony in the Woodland Sanctuary was surrounded by beautiful floristry from Caroline at Coombe Bissett.
Soft pinks, gentle oranges, pale greens and delicate wildflowers created a romantic, natural setting, with the flowers bringing a wonderful softness to the woodland surroundings.
Lee Coleman provided live music as guests arrived for the ceremony, before continuing his performance beside the lake during the afternoon celebrations.
Following the ceremony and confetti, guests even had the opportunity to join in with our much-loved goat feeding, adding another lovely Rudge Farm moment to the day.
Lakeside Celebrations & Summer Garden Games
The afternoon was everything you could wish for from a countryside summer wedding.
Picnic benches and parasols lined the lakeside, creating relaxed spaces for guests to gather, while a wonderful selection of garden games kept everyone entertained.
From mini golf and tin can alley to giant Jenga and beanbag toss, there was plenty of friendly competition throughout the afternoon.
Asado Fire and Kitchen provided beautiful outdoor catering, with guests able to enjoy watching the cooking taking place.
Kirsty and Daniel also made the most of the lake, taking a boat out for photographs while Pip & Co captured some wonderful aerial views using a drone.
Additional photographs displayed around the eucalyptus tree added another personal touch for their guests to enjoy.
Romantic Marquee Styling & an Evening Full of Dancing
Inside the marquee, the soft, romantic styling continued with a beautiful combination of wildflowers, rustic details and carefully considered finishing touches.
Old oak barrels provided a lovely setting for their delicately decorated wedding cake by Caked Patisserie, featuring beautiful hand-drawn floral details.
As evening arrived, the atmosphere shifted towards the dance floor, with a striking black starlit setting, contrasting black-and-white flooring and a disco ball bringing a little glamour to the celebrations.
Drive Band provided the live entertainment and DJ music, keeping everyone dancing into the evening.
At around 9 pm, Kirsty and Daniel introduced their brilliant Ring & Sling drinks package. With the ringing of a bell, guests gathered to join the newlyweds for a celebratory shot of limoncello — a wonderfully fun moment that brought everyone together.
The couple also returned to the Woodland Sanctuary later in the evening for some beautiful portraits with friends and family, making the most of the setting in a completely different light.

A Sunday Morning Together & One Unexpected Rescue
After such a wonderful wedding day, Sunday morning offered another opportunity for everyone to come together.
Freshly baked pastries and coffee were delivered by nearby Mulberry Farm Shop, a lovely finishing touch to a weekend spent celebrating with family and friends.
And we couldn’t possibly share Kirsty and Daniel’s wedding story without mentioning Kirsty’s dad, who unexpectedly became our chief dog rescuer!
When one of our little working dogs, Lady, managed to get herself stuck beneath the pontoon, Kirsty’s dad gallantly jumped into the lake to help rescue her.
It certainly wasn’t a moment anyone had planned for the wedding weekend, but we’re incredibly grateful to him for coming to the rescue.
A beautiful wedding, a fantastic group of people and a weekend we’ll remember with enormous fondness.
