A Musical Retreat: Sophia Grech at Rudge Farm

A Musical Retreat: Sophia Grech at Rudge Farm

At Rudge Farm, we’re always delighted to welcome guests looking for a peaceful retreat, but recently, we had the immense pleasure of hosting the renowned mezzo-soprano opera singer, Sophia Grech. Between her global performances and musical commitments, Sophia took some much-needed time to relax and unwind in the tranquil surroundings of our farm.

Sophia, who is not only a celebrated opera singer but also an ambassador for the autistic society, found great solace in the natural beauty of Rudge Farm. As someone deeply passionate about advocacy and inclusion, she understands the profound impact that peaceful environments and animal interactions can have on well-being. Our farm provided just the right atmosphere for her to pause, recharge, and connect with nature.

During her stay, Sophia spent time getting to know our beloved animals, from the mischievous goats, Poppy and Pickle, to our friendly Valais sheep. She found great joy in their company, noting how animals can offer a unique form of calm and comfort, particularly for individuals with autism. Their gentle nature and the serenity of the countryside created an environment where she could truly relax and be present.

Book Launch: I wish i could sing

But it wasn’t all about rest—Sophia also took the opportunity to work on her brand-new revised edition of her book, *I Wish I Could Sing*. Taking in the peaceful views and drawing inspiration from the fresh country air, she dedicated some quiet moments to writing a few new pages, blending creativity with relaxation in the best possible way.

Her visit was a reminder of how special places like Rudge Farm can be—a haven for artists, thinkers, and anyone needing to step away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether it’s the joy of spending time with animals, the soothing power of nature, or simply having space to breathe, our farm offers a little something for everyone.

We were truly honoured to have Sophia Grech stay with us and can’t wait to hear more about her upcoming projects. In the meantime, we hope Rudge Farm continues to be a place of peace and inspiration for all who visit! https://mezzo-soprano-sophia-grech.co.uk https://www.rudgefarmcottages.co.uk/facilities-at-rudge-farm-cottages/our-animals/
